Women’s Tango & Healing Retreat
Reconnect to yourself as a woman and as a dancer. Join me for a 6 day, all inclusive retreat directly on the beach of San Pancho, Mexico. The retreat will include daily classes of yoga, follower’s Tango technique/ expression classes, and Tango leading classes. For the healing aspect, we will be doing women’s circles, a Temazcal ceremony, and a crystal sound journey. Let go, begin to heal, and develop the beautiful artist that you are.
Feb. 3-8, 2026 (San Pancho, Mexico)
The Team
Raquel Makow
Raquel Makow has a lifetime of dance background from Ballet, Jazz, Latin Ballroom to Argentine Tango. She is currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, dancing with Sebastian Jimenez and working in Tango Festivals and Championships across Europe. Since 2022, she has shifted the focus of her teaching style to go far beyond movement and to focus more on self-expression and building self-worth in her students. For Raquel, Tango and dance is an art form of healing, story telling and connecting with one another. Apart from her shift in didactics, she also began to organize and lead Women’s Circles, an organized discussion to talk about important life topics in a safe space. Her new passion is in the healing arts, especially geared toward women, providing support for them to find their own voice, self-love and to connect with the majestic creatures they are. The first “Women’s Tango & Healing Retreat” she organized in Feb. 2025 was a life-changing event for her and all the women participating. She hopes to continue the retreat for many years to come.
